Chemistry

Chemistry is a sub discipline of science that deals with the study of matter and the substances that constitute it. It also deals with the properties of these substances and the reactions undergone by them to form new substances. Chemistry primarily focuses on atoms, ions, and molecules which, in turn, make up elements and compounds. These chemical species tend to interact with each other through chemical bonds. It is important to note that the interactions between matter and energy are also studied in the field of chemistry.

Chemistry is a subject which is totally based on student’s observations and understanding. Usually, the questions asked in the chemistry section are direct but a deep coverage of a lot of topics is must! There are three branches of chemistry : physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry.Questions are asked from all these parts and therefore students should be familiar with all the concepts from the same.

The study of chemistry spans the range from qualitative in focus to quantitative. Chemicals are everywhere and are everything. Anything you can touch or smell or see contains one or more chemicals.  It’s an experimental subject. Students have to observe things in order to understand the chemistry behind it. The key to score good in chemistry is your observations and understanding.

Why Dedicated Classses?

Dedicated Classes aims to change the way a student learns by personalized guidance and mentoring.

Chemistry is one of the most interesting branches of Science and it is given a lot of importance in JEE (Mains & Advance). IIT JEE Chemistry is the most important subject in the exam which is the easiest than the other two. Candidates should not avoid or neglect the subject as it is the infallible way to score good marks and securing a seat in the coveted Engineering colleges.

Additionally, the questions asked in the JEE exams are also usually from moderate to difficult levels.

However, students can easily master Chemistry and solve problems easily. Dedicated Classes is the one stop solution for this problem. We have a strong team of experienced faculties having unique teaching techniques; especially concept based teaching techniques, which are easily understandable for a student. Our faculties are highly qualified and experienced and are trained in a manner that makes them favourite among students. Next, the study material of Dedicated Classes is designed very systematically by subject experts in a way that students need not to refer to any other material. Our study material covers all the topics including NCERT and relating JEE (Mains & Advance) topics with numericals and questions given after explanation of each topic. Practice exercises are there inside the material. Our system is structured in a way that a student automatically fits in the routine that he/ she must follow regularly. Every kind of support is provided to a student whether it be technical, digital or moral support. On a whole, Dedicated Classes is a one stop solution for all the problems of students.

How is Hybrid course different from other programs?
Dedicated Classes’ Hybrid coaching programs are a blend of online and classroom learning. Other coaching programs provide either online or offline learning modules. Our Hybrid courses offer flexibility and convenience to students as they learn online and continue to have regular interaction with faculty.
How can I succeed in a hybrid course?
You should be comfortable using computers and the Internet.
You need excellent time management skills and self-motivation.
You need to be competent at typing.
You need to read assignments and instructions very carefully.
You need to keep up with class reading and assignments.

What are the benefits of Hybrid course?
In Hybrid learning, both traditional and online modes of teaching are used together. This makes the learning experience more efficient for both learners and educators. Students in traditional classrooms can benefit from the use of videos, an important element in online learning courses. Online learning platforms often have a variety of built-in communication systems. This makes it easy for educators and learners to quickly address queries. It’s also possible to use these systems to share information with one another. This sharing of knowledge makes the entire learning process quick and effective. Studies show that Hybrid learning scenarios have the best learning outcome for students.
Is NCERT enough for JEE Chemistry?
In JEE Main the chemistry section is easy and most scoring. Questions are direct. Candidates can prepare well using the NCERT books and most of the time it is enough for JEE preparation. They just need to develop a thorough understanding of the concepts and have a good memory in remembering the formulas, symbols and reactions.
Is solving NCERT exemplar a good exercise for JEE Main?
Generally, NCERT Exemplars these are basically practice-books which contain questions of a higher level that further help in-depth learning. Aspirants can make use of the exemplars to develop better problem-solving skills.
Is Inorganic Chemistry more important for JEE?
The majority of questions are asked from this section. Candidates should have a good understanding of the concepts in organic chemistry. However, other parts like inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry are equally important. Students should have a good knowledge of all the parts. Sometimes the concepts are interrelated in chemistry.
How to Prepare for JEE Main Chemistry?
a) To begin with, the student must always assess all the sections carefully and figure out the parts in which he/ she will have to give more time. Allocating time to those sections accordingly will help the aspirants get a better grasp of the syllabus.

Being regular with the preparation is one of the most important aspects of studying for Chemistry for JEE Main. As the subject is quite vast and hugely theoretical, students will have to study for it regularly so as to keep the flow. It is only by giving time to the subject on a regular basis that a student can memorise all the topics.

Setting aside some time for the revision of topics that have been covered is also among the most essential aspects of preparing for JEE Main Chemistry. As the subject is quite theoretical, students will need to keep going back to the chapters they have finished so that they remain fresh in memory and the students are well versed with them.

Studying from several books is not recommended for JEE Main Chemistry. All candidates should stick to some good books and use them for their preparation. Referring to different books results in wastage of time in trying to understand the language and also builds incoherence. Students often get confused when they use books of different authors to study or practise as different techniques might be used in them.

Memorising certain parts of the subject like the Periodic Table, Atomic Weights, Atomic Symbols, Atomic Numbers, etc.is necessary while preparing for the Chemistry section. This saves a lot of time while writing the exam and increases the scope of scoring significantly. A major part of Chemistry needs to be memorised like certain reactions and bonds. This will help the candidate score more while also saving time.

Once the aspirant has started with preparation in a full-fledged way, he/ she must check the accuracy of his/ her answers and incorporate ways to improve in this area. Apart from this, the candidates must also try to increase their speed as the importance of time in the JEE Main exam is important. Solving certain questions in less time will give the student an opportunity to use that time in the sections of Physics and Mathematics and also in reviewing the answers after the completion of the paper.

When preparing for any exam, practising old question papers and doing mock tests is undoubtedly one of the most important parts. Practising helps the student in realising which areas he/ she has to focus on and how he/ she should approach a question. It is always better to have an understanding of the type of questions that are asked in the exam so that the student is mentally prepared and knows how to go about the questions. Therefore, practising old papers regularly is an extremely important step while preparing for JEE Main Chemistry in order to score well.
