Maths

Mathematics is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the building block for everything in our daily lives, including mobile devices, architecture (ancient and modern), art, money, engineering, and even sports.

Class VIII is the time to lay a strong foundation and develop a strong command over the basics. Mathematics needs more attention. It starts with simple addition and subtraction and gradually, the subject seems to become tough to most students. But you don’t have to worry about the subject! You just have to study this subject seriously right from the beginning, understand the basic concepts and practice a sufficient number of questions.

Class VIII maths covers topics like, Rational numbers, Linear Equations in one variable, Understanding Quadrilaterals, Practical Geometry, Data Handling, Squares and square roots, Cubes and cube roots, Algebraic expressions, Mensuration, Exponents and powers,  Direct and inverse proportion, Factorization and Graphs.

Booklet
Online learning takes place in a virtual classroom, but the skills used to succeed in it are very similar to those needed for an on-campus class. Questions about assignments or any part of the class should be directed to the faculty or teaching assistant by phone. Extra classes are arranged especially for doubt sessions.
How much time will I spend in my virtual classroom?
You should plan to spend at least 5-6 hours in your virtual classroom.
How do I get homework assignments, tests, etc.?
Homework, tests, paper assignments, and more will be clearly communicated on the class website as well as directly by the professor.
How can I improve maths?
Here’s some tips for mastering maths like a pro:
a) Constant practice.
b) Focus on challenging topics.
c) Practice sample papers.
d) Clear all your doubts.
How maths is related to other subjects?
Science and math are intimately connected, particularly in fields such as chemistry, astronomy and physics. Students who can't master basic arithmetic skills will struggle to read scientific charts and graphs. More complex math, such as geometry, algebra and calculus, can help students solve chemistry problems, understand the movements of the planets and analyze scientific studies. Math is also important in practical sciences, such as engineering and computer science. Students may have to solve equations when writing computer programs and figuring out algorithms. Nursing majors may have great bedside manner. but they also need to know how to precisely calculate dosages to pass their courses.

Why is maths considered as an important subject?
Read on to learn a few reasons that math is a powerful and incredibly useful tool.a
a) Learning math is good for your brain
b) Math helps you tell time
c) Math helps you with your finances
d) Math helps us have better problem-solving skills
