Indian Institutes of Information Technology are a group of institutes of higher education in India, focused on information technology. Five of them are established, funded and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The rest are set up on the public-private partnership model.These are some of the best Indian institutes for candidates who want to make a career in the Information Technology, Computer Science, and Electronics & Communication engineering domain. With the first institute started in 1997, IIITs have made an impression in the industry by producing some of the best IT graduates in the country. Their graduates get hired by some of the most prominent firms in the industry. In total, there are 25 IIITs in India offering progressive education, with faculties from top IITs and NITs.
