Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad IIIT-A was founded in the year 1999. The University was tagged as a Deemed University by the Government of India in 2000. IIIT-A is one of the Institute of National Importance which is established by Act of Parliament

One of the major objectives of the IIITA is to create skilled manpower and professional expertise in the related areas of Information Technology (IT). As one of the top institutes for IT, it is a great step from the Government of India to establish IIIT-A. IIIT-A aims to develop the students who join the university into people who are able to work excellently in the different facets of IT. IIITA aspires to make India as one of the leading countries globally in the area of IT.  IIIT Allahabad has ranked as one of the top 15 Engineering colleges in Outlook Drishty Survey 2017 and India Today’s Best Engineering Colleges in 2017 rankings.

PLACEMENT

The placement cell of the IIIT Allahabad also provides the students with several opportunities such as industrial training which helps the students of IIIT Allahabad to adapt learning methods that cater to their individual needs. Some of the recruiters that have come to Indian Institute of Information Technology for placement and/or summer training are ICICI Prudential, Tech Mahindra, HCL Infosystems, etc. The students of IIIT Allahabad have been one of the most sought after candidates by national and multinational companies. The maximum salary that a student has been placed in through IIIT Allahabad Placement cell is 36 Lakh Per Annum. The Average annual LPA that the students receive a salary in the jobs that they get placed in is around 13.25 lakh. More than 120 companies have visited the Indian Institute of Information Technology for the purpose of placement.
